“In recent years, active work has been carried out to improve aviation safety, introduce international standards, and modernize infrastructure, which has significantly increased the chances of lifting the restrictions,” Japarov said.

Also, as part of an official visit to Berlin, Mr. Sadyr Japarov held bilateral talks with Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz on November 26.

As per a report from Kyrgyzstan’s Tazabek online news agency, the President pointed out that being left off this list will pave the way for fresh chances to fly directly to Europe.  Japarov also kept his eye on the ball regarding the future of Asman Airlines, highlighting the need to refresh the air fleet and bring in cutting-edge technologies.

In October this year, a delegation from Kyrgyzstan, led by Acting Director of the State Civil Aviation Agency Daniyar Bostonov, held a series of meetings with the management of the Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport of the European Commission (DG Move EU) in Brussels.

The main topic of discussion was the country’s progress in withdrawal from the EU aviation blacklist.  Kyrgyzstan reportedly presented a document that showed of the implementation of new safety programs, advanced training of inspectors, updating the material and technical base, improving the inspector staff and internal safety standards are noted in the document.

During the conversation, the head of state expressed the readiness of Kyrgyzstan to develop partnerships with Airbus, noting the high level of technologies and standards set by the company in the field of world aviation.
