The Republican Center for Forensic Medical Examination of Tajikistan and the Republican Scientific Center for Forensic Medical Examination of Uzbekistan have signed a cooperation agreement, according to the press center of the Tajik Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population (MoHSPP).
The agreement reportedly aims to strengthen collaboration in forensic medical examination, enhance the qualifications of specialists, participate in conferences, conduct scientific and methodological seminars, train laboratory experts, and develop bilateral cooperation between the forensic institutions of both countries.
The negotiations were attended by the Director of the Republican Center for Forensic Medical Examination of Tajikistan, Shodi Abdukarimzoda, the Director of the Republican Scientific Center for Forensic Medical Examination of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Ruziyev, his deputy Bobur Turonov, and the Director of the Center’s branch in Uzbekistan’s Bukhara Region, Hakimjon Saibov.
Earlier, the heads of state had signed an Agreement on Alliance between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, followed by the exchange of new agreements by official delegations.
To strengthen regional ties, five cooperation agreements were signed between the executive authorities of Tajikistan’s Khatlon and Sughd provinces and the authorities of Uzbekistan’s Khorezm, Fergana, Syrdarya, Namangan, and Andijan regions.
The documents cover key areas of cooperation, including:
- Border and territorial coordination;
- Consumer rights protection;
- Industry and trade;
- Transport and communications;
- Agriculture and the agro-industrial complex;
- Culture, tourism, and sports;
- Science and education;
- Medicine and healthcare;
- Energy and resource supply.
The signed agreements strengthen the legal foundation of cooperation between the two countries and open new prospects for joint efforts in various fields.
