Eight newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials to President Emomali Rahmon

Eight newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials to Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on February 19, according to the Tajik president’s official website.

The new ambassadors reportedly include Mr. Armen Ghevondyan of Armenia, Mr. Nijas Chardaklija of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Ilham Tuah bin Illias of Malaysia, Mr. Luis Martinez Montes of Spain, Mr. Gideon Lustig of Israel, Ms. Alenka Suhadolnik of Slovenia, Mr. Lubomir Frebort of the Czech Republic, and Mr. Jamal Bakr Abdullah of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.     

Tajik president reportedly congratulated the ambassadors on their appointment and expressed confidence that they would make contribution to expansion of cooperation of their countries with Tajikistan.

"Tajikistan continues to actively work on strengthening relations with Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malaysia, Spain, Israel, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, and Ethiopia, considering these ties an important component of its foreign policy. We are delighted that your countries are among Tajikistan's true friends and partners today, and we highly value the expansion of these relations," President Rahmon emphasized.

The president noted that Tajikistan is ready to utilize all available opportunities and resources to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation and will continue working towards enhancing mutual understanding and effective collaboration between the countries.

In conclusion, Emomali Rahmon wished the newly appointed ambassadors success in their diplomatic missions and conveyed warm greetings and messages to the leaders of their respective countries.

Earlier, on January 31, the newly appointed ambassadors of 12 other foreign countries also presented their credentials to the President of Tajikistan.
