Rising Tajik racing driver Bezhan Abdulloyev attracts interest from international teams

Asia-Plus

After a headline-making victory at the GPMax 2025 in Tianjin and a strong performance in the second round of the Chinese National Karting Championship, Tajik racing driver Bezhan Abdulloyev has caught the attention of several international motorsport teams, including the renowned French outfit R-ace GP.  Abdulloyev confirmed the news to Asia-Plus.

Founded in 2011, R-ace GP represents the Renault brand across various motorsport series and currently competes in the Formula 4 UAE Championship, hosted at the Yas Marina Circuit.

“The goal of the negotiations is to qualify for the upcoming races and earn a spot in the F4 UAE grid, bringing me closer to my dream of reaching Formula 1,” Abdulloyev said.

The young driver has been making waves in the racing world, with his standout performance at GPMax 2025 drawing particular attention.  Competing in the CRKC Championship in Tianjin, Abdulloyev, driving car number 16, clocked the fastest lap time at 1:19.267 and led the race with consistency and control.  His average speed of 128.34 km/h was the highest in the KZ2 category.

Currently on a summer break, Abdulloyev is spending time in his home country, Tajikistan.  His return was met with warm celebrations—greeted at the airport by representatives from the Youth and Sports Committee and showered with praise on social media.  Many citizens are now beginning to believe that Tajikistan may one day see a champion on the global motorsport stage.

Beyond the racetrack, Abdulloyev has also been gaining traction online.  Over the past five months, his videos on TikTok and Instagram have amassed nearly 2 million views, significantly boosting his profile within the motorsports community.

Focused and ambitious, Abdulloyev envisions a clear path forward: joining a Formula 1 academy, earning a junior driver position with a top team, and eventually stepping onto the world’s most prestigious racing stage.

His father, Abdurahmon Abdulloyev, told Asia-Plus that achieving these goals will require sponsorship from domestic companies.  “Bezhan is the first Tajik athlete to compete at such a high level in motorsport.  I believe in him—he deserves this opportunity,” he said.
