The finalists of the Tajikistan 2025 Football Cup have been determined – these are the Regar–TadAZ and Eshata teams. The decisive match will be held at the stadium of the 20th Anniversary of Independence of Tajikistan in Khujand in September, the Football Federation of Tajikistan (FFT) reports.
The National Cup has once again proved that this tournament is capable of creating sensations and breaking the usual expectations of fans. The finale consists of two stories, each worthy of a separate plot.
A sensation in Khujand
In the first semi-final in Khujand, the local "Eshata" performed a real miracle. The team, which was rarely considered among the contenders for the finals, managed to stop Vakhsh, one of the most decorated clubs in the country.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw, and in the penalty shootout, the hosts showed iron nerves, winning with a score of 4:3. The young goalkeeper of "Eshata" became a real hero, deflecting a key shot, and gave hope to the fans of Sughd region to see their team in the decisive match for the first time in a long time.

In the second semi-final in Tursunzad, Regar–TadAZ and Kulyab Ravshan met. This pair was initially considered as the central one, and the expectations were fulfilled. The main time ended with a score of 1:1 – both goals were scored from the penalty spot.
At first, Sherzod Mahamadiev scored, but soon Sheriddin Boboev regained his balance. The fate of the match was decided in extra time: in the 106th minute, Samandar Kodirov scored the decisive goal, sending Regar to the second consecutive Cup final of the country.
For Regar, the Cup final is a familiar event, but each time with its own drama. Last season, the team won the trophy, beating Khujand in the final. Now the wards of the experienced staff have a new task: to defend the title and confirm the status of the cup team.
