Male citizens between the ages of 18 and 27 are conscripted into military service in Tajikistan. The draft is carried out twice a year: spring (April-May) and autumn (October-November). The law provides for the possibility of obtaining a postponement or release from service, which depends on various factors such as marital status and health status of the conscript.
In addition, there is an alternative (paid) service option – as part of the mobilization reserve for one month. The cost of paid military service is 750 indicators for calculations (one indicator = 75 somoni).
