Wildberries opens first order pickup point in Tajikistan’s Pamir region

Asia-Plus

Russian e-commerce giant Wildberries has opened its first order pickup point (OPP) in the Pamirs Mountains, marking a milestone in expanding digital retail access in remote areas of Tajikistan.  The new location is situated in the city of Khorog, the capital of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), and stands at an altitude of approximately 2,500 meters above sea level — the highest Wildberries pickup point to date.

This newly launched facility will serve not only Khorog but also seven districts, four urban-type settlements, and 42 rural communities in the region, potentially reaching 150,000 to 180,000 internet-connected residents.

Local customers will now have access to Wildberries’ full Tajikistan catalog, offering millions of products including home goods, clothing, electronics, cosmetics, and more. Delivery to the Khorog OPP is free of charge, with an average shipping time of 7 to 8 days. Orders will be transported to Tajikistan by air and then delivered to Khorog by road.

“The launch of this pickup point in Khorog is a significant step toward expanding e-commerce across all regions of Tajikistan,” said Khusrav Sultonov, representative of DC Market, Wildberries’ local partner. “We are pleased that Pamiri residents now have access to the same broad selection and convenient delivery services enjoyed by people in major cities.”

Wildberries entered the Tajik market in April 2025, and the opening of its first Pamir pickup point aligns with its ongoing strategy to develop infrastructure and enhance accessibility for online shoppers across the country.

In partnership with DC Market, Wildberries plans to open up to 40 more pickup points in Tajikistan. The company also offers partnership opportunities for local entrepreneurs with registered legal entities.

Currently, Wildberries operates in ten markets, including Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, while also collaborating with sellers from China and the UAE.
