Iran offers to share aviation expertise with Tajikistan

Date:

Iran has expressed its readiness to share aviation expertise and operational experience with Tajikistan, marking a new step in bilateral cooperation in the air transport sector, according to a report by Iran’s state-run news agency IRNA.

During a meeting in Dushanbe on November 12, Hossein Pourfarzaneh, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, reportedly told his Tajik counterpart, Habibullo Nazarzoda, that the Islamic Republic is prepared to provide technical support across various sectors of civil aviation.

Pourfarzaneh highlighted Iran’s capabilities in aircraft maintenance, parts manufacturing, human resource training, flight safety, air navigation, airport infrastructure development, and ground handling services. He emphasized the historical, cultural, and linguistic ties between the two nations, describing the proposed cooperation as a reflection of "unity, synergy, and mutual support among Persian-speaking countries in the region."

Tajikistan’s Civil Aviation Agency reportedly welcomed the proposal, with Nazarzoda expressing interest in leveraging Iran’s technical and educational capacities. He noted that such collaboration would be a significant step toward strengthening Tajikistan’s aviation infrastructure and operational standards.

Both sides agreed to draft a memorandum of understanding (MoU) encompassing educational, technical, navigational, safety, and air transport development cooperation, according to IRNA.

The agreement represents a milestone in enhancing professional and technical collaboration between the two countries’ aviation authorities.
