On December 13, the Akasharif Jourayev State Philharmonic Hall will host the Tarona Music Award – 2025. This annual event, which celebrates the best in Tajikistan’s music industry, promises to be even more spectacular and unforgettable this year.
A vibrant start to winter
As tradition goes, the ceremony will bring together the country’s top performers, fans of contemporary Tajik music, and industry figures. The red carpet opens at 3:00 PM, giving fans the chance to meet their idols, take selfies, and get autographs. The official ceremony begins at 5:00 PM.
Raising the bar for live shows
Organizers have promised a refreshed concept this year: vibrant photo zones, striking lighting, unique stage design, and carefully directed performances. A set designer from Moscow is handling the visual direction, while the upgraded technical setup—from sound to projection—aims to deliver a state-of-the-art show.
Artistes and nominees
Nominees were selected based on Asia-Plus Radio charts and the decision of a special jury. Fifteen hit songs that defined the year made it into the final list.
The stage will host both well-established stars of the Tajik music scene and rising talents. Among the performers is Sayora Musayeva, a vibrant singer from neighboring Uzbekistan with Tajik roots. Her soulful voice and cover of the hit song “Piyola” made her one of the region’s most talked-about artists.

A look back at the award's history
The Tarona Music Award is the successor of the “Surudi Sol” award, first held in 2003. That year, Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon supported the initiative and even performed the song “Gushai Bom” on stage with Sirojiddin Fozilov — a moment that became a milestone in the nation’s music history.
