Three Tajik coaches earn international judo certification

Date:

Three Tajik judo coaches — Muhammadmurod Abdurahmonov, Suhrob Abdurahmonov, and Komronshoh Ustopiriyon — have successfully completed training and passed examinations at the International Judo Federation (IJF) Academy, receiving internationally recognized coaching certificates.

They join fellow Tajik coach Foteh Mahmadbekov, who previously graduated from the same program. This brings the number of officially certified international-level coaches in Tajikistan to four, all eligible to represent the national team at top-tier global competitions.

The news was shared by Ergash Mahmadbekov, Vice Chairman of the Tajikistan Judo Federation, who emphasized the importance of continuous education and professional development within the national coaching staff.

Several more young Tajik coaches are currently enrolled at the IJF Academy, and a new intake is planned for 2026, featuring emerging talent from various regions of the country.

“This is a major breakthrough for Tajik judo,” Mahmadbekov said. “We are grateful for the support of our federation president, Ismoil Mahmadzohir, whose commitment to raising judo in Tajikistan to international standards is yielding real results.”
