KHUJAND, June 30, 2013, Asia-Plus — A man from the northern province of Sughd has beaten his wife to death.
According to the Interior Ministry’s office for Sughd, resident of the Bobojonghafurov district, Nasrullo Bobokhoujayev, 49, severely beat his wife, Bihojal Bobokhoujayeva, 47, on June 28.
“The woman died from injuries she sustained during the beating,” an official source at the Interior Ministry’s office for Sughd said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against Nasrullo Bobokhoujayev under the provisions of Article 104 (1) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – murder; an investigation is under way.
