Tajikistan seeks China’s investments in agrarian sector

DUSHANBE, May 14, 2014, Asia-Plus — On Wednesday May 14, Tajik Prime Minister Qohir Rasoulzoda received Chinese agrarian delegation, led  by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Niu Dun.

According to Subhiddin Muhiddinov, a senior consultant to the president’s press center, the sides discussed issues related to agricultural cooperation between Tajikistan and China.   

Tajik prime minister reportedly noted that Tajikistan was interested in expanding bilateral cooperation with China in all spheres.

“Rasoulzoda noted that Tajikistan is interested in implementation of large agriculture development projects with attraction of Chinese investments,” Muhiddinov said.

The sides, in particular, discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and China in the fields of seed growing, plant cultivation, animal husbandry, gardening, and rice growing with use of the latest technologies, the source said.
