DUSHANBE, July 16, 2014, Asia-Plus — Prime Minister Rasoul Qohirzoda yesterday visited the northern province of Sughd to inspect irrigation systems in the Zafarobod and Mastchoh districts.

While in Zafarobod, the prime minister visited the cascade of pump stations Mirzochoul.  Specialists noted that the pump stations were not working in full capacity due to low water level in the Syr Darya River.

The prime minister ordered relevant organizations of the province to work out the project to repair the water-distributing stations in Sughd.

In the Mastchoh district, the prime minister reportedly got acquainted with the progress of grain harvesting and fruit-and-vegetable picking.
