Capital mayor urges to speed up work on construction of residential buildings

DUSHANBE, May 8, Asia-Plus – Issues related to the construction of facilities in Dushanbe were the major topic of a May 7 meeting of the capital mayor’s office presided over by Mayor Mahmadsaid Ubaidulloyev

Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that Ubaidulloyev had demanded at the meeting that work on the construction of residential buildings and Palace of Youth, which are built at the expense of the city’s budget, should be speeded up.

The mayor reminded that the eight multi-story residential buildings should be put into exploitation before March 20 2008 and the Palace of Youth should be finished before may 9 the same year.

The meeting also considered issues related to preparations for the autumn-winter season, state of passenger transport services, water supply as well as improvement of the city.
