DUSHANBE, August 11, 2016, Asia-Plus – One more Tajik soldier has died and his relatives say he died after being severely beaten.

The 18-year-old Ramazon Zabirov from the Hisor district had served in border unit in Sughd’s Zafarobod district.  His body was handed over to his parents on August 7 and his relatives say Ramazon died after being severely beaten.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Ulughkhojayev, a spokesman for Main Border Guard Directorate at the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), says the Sughd military prosecutor’s office has launched investigation into the death of Ramazon Zabirov.  “If the investigation establishes that he died after being beaten, criminal proceedings have been instituted,” Ulughkhojayev said.
