Rescuers of the Rasht emergency management agency have reportedly found a 3-year-old girl lost in mountains for hours alive and well.

Umeda Yusifi, a spokeswoman for the Emergencies Committee under the Government of Tajikistan, says the call that a small child has been lost in mountains near Shule village in Rasht district came to the control panel of the operational duty officer of the Emergencies Committee Monday afternoon.

A rescue team of the Rasht emergency management agency that was sent to the area found the girl alive and well in mountains one and a half kilometers from the place where her parents were working in their field.

“a resident of Shule village together with his family was working in their field, which is located in the Kamarobi Bolo area.   Due to the negligence of her parents, a 3-year-old girl got out of the tent and went in an unknown direction.  The parents' independent searches for the child led nowhere and they applied to the Emergencies Committee,” said Yusufi.   “Rescuers divided into groups and as a result of many hours of search-and-rescue operation, they found the girl safe and sound in mountains one and a half kilometers from the place where her parents were working in their field.”
