Tajik-Sino Mining Company supports development of Tajikistan’s mining and metallurgical industries through helping Tajik students get higher education in China.

Under an agreement signed on April 22, every year a group of Tajik students will be sent to study at the Lanzhou University Resource & Environment Voc-Tech College.

This Chinese university will train specialists for Tajikistan’s mining, processing and metallurgical industries.

An online signing ceremony was reportedly attended by representatives of Tajikistan’s ministries of industry and education, senior officials of local authorities of Mastchoh district and Istiglol city in Sughd province, top manager of Tajik-Sino Mining Company and officials from the education directorate of China’s Gansu province.

Under the agreement, Tajik-Sino Mining Company will help train annually at least 30 specialists for Tajikistan’s metallurgical industry.

Tajik-Sino Mining Company is located in the settlement of Zarnisor, which is administratively subordinate to the city of Guliston (formerly Qairoqqum), Sughd province.  The enterprise was granted licenses for development of the lead and zinc deposits Altyn-Topkan and Pay-Buloq.
