Professional holiday of Uzbek aviators – Day of Air fleet – is celebrated on August 16, third Sunday of the month of August, in Uzbekistan.

Year of 2008 is special for aviators for the fact that civil aviation of the country turns 85 years.

Traditionally national air company of Uzbekistan summarized results of its work in first half of the year.

For six months of 2009 aircrafts of “Uzbekiston havo iullari” operated 11531 flights, company”s press service reported. 849.8 thousand passengers and 9100 tons of cargoes were transported in total.
