DUSHANBE, May 13, 2009, Asia-Plus  — Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi will depart for Moscow tomorrow afternoon to attend a session of the council of foreign ministers of member nations of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) that will be held there on May 15.

According to the MFA information department, the SCO foreign minister’s meeting is to prepare for the SCO summit in Russia’s Yekaterinburg in mid-June.  Participants will exchange views on issues related to expanding pragmatic cooperation in various fields as well as major international and regional issues.

“The ministers will also consider draft declaration, draft communiqué as well as a number of other draft documents that will be discussed at the summit,’ the MFA spokesman Davlat Nazriyev said.
