KHUJAND, February 13, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Three residents of the northern Sughd province have got long jail terms for brutal killing of refueling station operator.

The Sughd regional court on February 12 ruled that 32-year-old Gulbahor Davlatova (mother of five children), 22-year-old Rustam Solehov, and 22-year-old Rashid Abdurahmonov be given jail terms of 24, 28 and 27 years respectively.  They will serve their terms in a high-security colony and their property will be confiscated.

Judge Abdulfayoz Abdujabborov, who presided over the trial, told Asia-Plus Monday afternoon that Rustam Solehov and Rashid Abdurahmonov inflicted several stab wounds on two operators of the refueling station in the Paldorak jamoat — Halim Jumayev, 26, and Mirzosharif Ashourov, 23 – in July 2011.  Mirzosharif Ashourov died of wound sustained in the attack.

“The murder was contracted by Gulbahor Davlatova, who promised the right of permanent residence in Russia and to pay 3,000 U.S. dollars to Solehov and Abdurahmonov,” the judge said.
