KHUJAND, February 29, 2012, Asia-Plus  –An underage inmate of the Khujand-based Rehabilitation Center has been detained on suspicion of setting fire to house of an educator.

An official source at the Sughd police directorate says unidentified persons set fire to the house of an educator at the Khujand-based Rehabilitation Center on the night of Ferbuary28-29.  “The fire destroyed a space of 18 square meters and damage caused by the fire was estimated at some 2,000 somoni,” said the source.  “Fortunately, nobody was injured.”

An inmate of this center, A.G., 13, was detained on suspicion of committing that crime.  “Investigators have to find out the reason that made A.G. set fire to the educator’s house,” the source added.
