DUSHANBE, July 3, 2012, Asia-Plus  —  A Tajik delegation, led by Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi, will attend the 6th Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum that will take place in Seoul, South Korea on July 5.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, issues related to further strengthening of interaction in various spheres are to be discussed at the forum, which will be attended by the ministers of foreign affairs of the participant countries.

The Tajik delegation members include representatives from the ministries of foreign affairs, energy and industries, and health, the source said.

We will recall that this annual event has been held since 2007 and the 1st Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Korea in Seoul on November 15, 2007 with about 150 participants including government officials, corporate representatives, people from academic and cultural circles from Korea, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.  Both sides reportedly agreed to further increase cooperation projects in IT, state-of-the-art technology and manufacturing industry, that reach far beyond the current ones focused on particular areas such as energy and resources.
