DUSHANBE, July 28, 2012, Asia-Plus  — Head of the organization of the Islamic Revival Party (IRP) for Gorno Badakhshan was reportedly killed in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region on July 25.

According to IRP’s headquarters in Dushanbe, they do not yet have confirmed information about the death of Sabzali Mamadrizoyev, 32, who was elected to head the IRP’s organization for Gorno Badakhshan in July 2011.  They reportedly heard about that just from unofficial sources.

At the same time, they say Sabzali Mamadrizoyev has not contacted them by phone or e-mail since the date when the military operation started in Khorog.

Meanwhile, a video about demonstration that took place in Khrog on July 23, a day before the military operation was launched was posted on YouTube and one of those addressing the demonstration was Sabzali Mamadrizoyev.

Sabzali Mamadrizoyev was elected to head IRP’s organization in Gorno Badakhshan on July 17, 2011.  As of January 1, 2012, IRP’s organization in Gorno Badakhshan reportedly had 3,000 members.
