, January 18, Asia-Plus – Appeal lodged by Mahmadruzi Iskandarov against sentence passed on him will be considered at an open trial in the Security Ministry-run pretrial detention facility on January 18, Mahmadali Vatanov, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court, told journalists on January 17.
“Though the consideration will be held in the pretrial detention facility but all interested persons, including defense lawyers and relatives of Mahmadruzi Iskandarov are allowed to attend the trial,” Vatanov said, adding that journalists, however, are not allowed to attend the trial.
