, January 24, Asia-Plus — Officers of the Tajik transportation police intercepted more than 36 kilograms of heroin at the end of the last week, Asia-Plus has learned from Saidkhon Ismoilov, the Tajik transportation police deputy chief.
According to him, the drugs were seized in a special operation that Tajik transportation police have carried out in the republic since January 15.

. When searching the car they found 66.30 kilograms of heroin,“ the Asia-Plus interlocutor said, adding that the next bulk of heroin (36.20 kilograms) was found in a garage in the Qazoqon area of
Dushanbe
on Friday January 20.
According to the source, following this the leader of a criminal ring engaged in drug trafficking Safarali Ergashev, resident of Hamadoni District, and two other members of this ring, Mahmadi Nuriddinov from Fayzobod and Naimjon Majidov from Isfara, were arrested. Investigation is under way.
Since the beginning of this month, the transportation police officers have intercepted 120 kilograms of drugs throughout the republic, according to Saidkhon Ismoilov.
