“Tojikazot” fined some 10,000 Somonis for not satisfying requirements of customs legislation

, February 20, Asia-Plus – The Khatlon customs directorate has warded off one more attempt of violating the country’s customs legislation, according to information from the Ministry of State Revenues and Tax Collections (MSRTC).

The MSRTC source has told Asia-Plus that on February 18, the Khatlon customs directorate filed suit against the Sarband-based “Tojikazot” enterprises producing mineral fertilizers under Article 199, Part 14 of Tajikistan’s Administrative Code – not reporting on import of goods and (or) transports means when crossing customs border of Tajikistan.

a bulk of spare parts for a total amount of US$30,326.  “The enterprise, however, did not paid the customs duties by the time fixed and it was fined 10 percent (9,732 Somonis) of a total cost of the imported goods,” the source said, adding that 30 instances of violation of the country’s customs laws were registered in Khatlon province last year.
