Germany
: Ways of Introduction in
Central Asia
” ended in
Dushanbe
Tuesday [February 28].
The conference participants included representatives from the Association of Women Scientists of Tajikistan, the Association of Female Lawyers of Tajikistan, as well as representatives from
Kazakhstan
’s Crisis Center for Women, German Women’s Center “Altenbuken” and other women’s NGOs.
The conference considered issues related to the situation with violence against women and legislative initiatives aimed at reducing number of such cases.
Representative from the German Women’s Center “Altenbuken”, Ms. Ursula Gutknecht, telling the conference shared an experience of interaction between women’s crisis centers and police in
Germany
.
The conference was staged by the Ministry of Interior, the Friedrich Ebert Fund Office in
Tajikistan
and the “Jahon” Public Association.
