, April 11, Asia-Plus – Heavy rainfalls and strong wind that hit southern
Tajikistan
on April 10-11 caused serious damage to the
village
of
Korvon Sangoba
in the Nosir Khusrav district of Khatlon.
The disaster partially damaged several residential and administrative buildings in the district.
According to information from the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), five residential buildings, eight schools and one kindergarten as well as building of the social security office in the Nosir Khusrav district were partially damaged. “The strong wind took roofs off and broke window glasses as well as damaged four kilometers of power-transmission lines,” the source said. No casualties were reported, according to the source.
