, May 23, Asia-Plus – On June 2, the Dushanbe-based mircrofinance fund “Humo” will open its first microcredit-lending unit in the Yovon district of Khatlon under support of GTZ (German Technical Cooperation).
Mr. Angela Popova, the “Humo” office manager, has told Asia-Plus that the unit will provide micro loans to small businesses. According to her, the “Humo” microfinance fund provides financial services for development of small and medium-sized businesses, enhancement of production and processing of agricultural output and development of trade in

According to information from the National bank of Tajikistan (NBT), the “Humo” microfinance fund is the fourth of its kind in the republic; others are located in Sughd (“Imon” microfinance fund), in the Jirgatol district (“Borshud”) and Dushanbe (“Haqiq”).
