DUSHANBE, June 1, Asia-Plus — Works of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart were performed at the Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Sadriddin Ayni in Dushanbe on May 31.
According to information from the German Embassy in

, Tajik symphonic orchestra performed Mozart works under the baton of visiting German conductor Pierre Dominique Ponnele.
The source says the event is dedicated to a Year of Mozart. UNESCO has announced the year of 2006 a year of this prominent Austrian composer because it will be his 250

anniversary this year.
