, June 13, Asia-Plus – Tajik capital is making preparations for a Day of National Unity which is marked in
Tajikistan
on June 27.
Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the
Dushanbe
mayor, says the Deputy Dushanbe Mayor, Masaid Homidov, yesterday approved a plan on improvement of streets and squares in the city. All works on decoration of buildings and streets should be completed by June 26. Celebrations to mark the Day of National Unity will be held in
Dushanbe
on June 27.

Tajikistan
has marked the Day of National Unity since
June 27, 1997
, when a general peace agreement was signed in
Moscow
.
