DUSHANBE, July 6, Asia-Plus – Quite a mild tremor measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale hit Dushanbe today, at around 8:57 a.m., according to information from the Republican Seismological Station.
The source says the tremor could be felt in eastern regions of the country as well. In Gorno Badakhshan, the tremor’s magnitude was 3.0 on the Richter scale. The earthquake epicenter was 295 kilometers northeast of
Dushanbe
, at the Tajik-Kyrgyz border in the Jirgatol district (
Rasht
Valley
). In the epicenter, the tremor’s magnitude was 5.0 on the Richter scale, the source said.
According to preliminary data of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), no damage or injured was reported.
