Iran to transfer laser therapy technology to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, January 25, Asia-Plus – Iranian laser therapists at a meeting with Tajik Health Minister in Dushanbe Wednesday announced Iran”s readiness to transfer that technology and their experience to Tajikistan.

During the meeting held based on an initiative and invitation made by Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (IKRC), the Tajik Health Minister Ranokhon Abdurahmonova appreciated the Iranians” medical and health services offered to her citizens.

She added, “Some Tajik patients in need of laser therapy take trips to Russia and China, that is very costly for them, therefore, if Iran would assist this ministry in establishment of a laser therapy center this would be a great service to those patients.”

The Tajik Health Minister said, “Shared language and culture of our two nations paves the path for academic training and transfer of experience in all fields, particularly in health and medical fields.” She added, keeping in mind the commonalities between Iran and Tajikistan in medical sciences, the Tajik experts have a great opportunity to acquire higher expertise and I hope they would take full advantage of this opportunity.

IKRC Head Said Hamed Hosseini, too, as the host of the Iranian laser therapists in Tajikistan, said, “The IKRC Hospital in Tajik Capital, Dushanbe, has been offering medical services to needy patients for many years.”

He added, “Today, too, we are determined to establish a laser therapy center, relying on assistance of Tajikistan” Health Ministry and your expertise in the field.

The Iranian laser therapists arrived in Dushanbe on Tuesday and have so far visited some medical centers here and exchanged viewpoints with Tajik doctors.
