UCA organizes training course on the Tajik language for ethnic Kyrgyzs in Gorno Badakhshan

DUSHANBE, April 19, Asia-Plus – The University of Central Asia (UCA) has organized the first experimental course on the Tajik language for the Kyrgyz-speaking population of the Murgab district in Gorno Badakhshan.

Kishvar Abdulalishoyev, academic matters manager, UCA, said that the training course is conducted in the administrative center of Murgab. 

Farrukhsho Fraydonov, public relations coordinator, UCA, noted that the course is conducted at three levels and 70 percent of expenses are paid by UCA.

, the training course on the Tajik language is of importance both to officials and local residents.     

The University of Central Asia offers training to professional in many fields, including entrepreneurship and management, mini-production, information technologies and media, applied languages, management in public and social spheres, vocational-technical education, etc. 

UCA was founded in 2000 by the governments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, and the Aga Khan, to foster economic and social development throughout the vast and impoverished mountain areas of Central Asia.  It is the world’s first internationally chartered institution of higher education.  The International Treaty and Charter establishing this secular and private University was signed by His Highness the Aga Khan and the Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, ratified by the respective parliaments and registered with the United Nations.  The Presidents are the Patrons and His Highness the Aga Khan is the Founding Patron and Chancellor of UCA. UCA is a private, independent, self-governing institution, which will be governed by an independent Board of Trustees and led by a Rector.  The university is constructing campuses at Khorog, Tajikistan, Tekeli, Kazakhstan, and Nary, Kyrgyzstan.
