DUSHANBE, June 1, Asia-Plus – Tajik drug police have intercepted a large amount of raw opium in the Hamadoni district of Khatlon.
According to the ministry of Interior (MoI), an operation carried out by officers from the MoI department for combating drug trafficking (drug police) in the Hamadoni district on May 31 led to the arrest of Afghan citizen Mingali valadi Juma. 8.832 kilograms of raw opium were confiscated from him, the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the Afghan drug trafficker and an investigation is under way.
