KHUJAND, August 16, 2008, Asia-Plus — A new building for the regional endocrinology center has been opened in Khujand on occasion of a Medical Worker’s Day, which is marked in Tajikistan on August 18.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, the Sughd health directorate head Jalil Toshmatov said that construction of the building officially commenced in April 2008 and the Sughd regional budget had provided more than 600,000 somonis for construction of it.
Besides, a private treatment-and-diagnostic center IGNS was put into operation in the city of Chkalovsk today. 30 medical workers work with this center.
