KHUJAND, September 1, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Monday September 1, the Sughd Regional Children’s Library in Khujand d Khujand-based organized a book exhibition dedicated to a Day of Knowledge, 1150 birthday anniversary of founder of Tajik-Persian classical literature Abu Abdullo Roudaki and Tajikistan’s Independence Day, the library chairperson Khairnisso Rahimova said in an interview with Asia-Plus.  

According to her, books dedicated to these events as well as 442 new children’s books, sent to the province by the Ministry of Culture (MoC) recently, have been put on display in the exhibition.  

“The Sughd Regional Children’s Library currently has more than 65,000 books and more than 8,000 children are now among our readers,” Ms. Rahimova said.
