DUSHANBE, September 10, Asia-Plus — Tajik young poetess Dilorom has been given a special certificate of the international poetic award “2008 Community of Debuts.”
According to CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation, prize-winners were announced in Moscow on September 9. Poets Andrey Nitchenko (Russia), Nika Jordjaneli (Georgia) and Dmitry Lazutkin (Ukraine) were recognized as prize winners. Besides, the jury board handed over seven special certificates to Arsen Vaga (Armenia), Dilorom (Tajikistan), Zhazgul Zhamangulova (Kyrgyzstan), Olga Nikolayeva (Moldova), Aksana Sprynchan (Belarus), Tanakoz Taltynkyzy (Kazakhstan) and Ilgar Fahmi (Azerbaijan).
The awards will be handed over together with the certificates to the prize-winners in Dushanbe on sidelines of the 3rd forum of the creative and scientific intelligentsia of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), which will be held from September 18-20.
We will recall that Dilorom has been shortlisted for the international poetic award “2008 Community of Debuts.” In all, 19 poets from ten CIS states, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan and Ukraine, have been shortlisted for the award.
The international award “Community of Debuts” was instituted in April 2008 by the CIS Humanitarian Cooperation Council and the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation to support creative youth under the age of 35 and prize winners are selected for their contributions in the area of culture and science. This year young poets under 35 were commended.
The jury board consisted of famous figures in the area of culture and science. Among them are Azeri Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbul Oglu, Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Ramazan Abdulatipov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of International Community of Writers’ Unions Vladimir Boyarinov, Tajik known poet Mumin Qanoat, Kazakhstan’s Representative to UNSECO Olzhas Suleimenov, etc.
