DUSHANBE, September 11, 2008, Asia-Plus – A two-day preliminary meeting on the human dimension issues for government institutions and civil society opened at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe on September 11.
According to the OSCE Office in Tajikistan, this meeting precedes the annual human dimension implementation meeting (HDM) that will be held in Warsaw in late September.
On conclusion of the meeting, a press conference dedicated to human rights and HDM will be held on September 12, at 4:10 p.m. The press conference will also consider issues related to the right to a fair and just trial, legislative transparency, democracy, free and fair elections.
Representatives from the OSCE Office in Tajikistan and Tajik government institutions will take part at the press conference.
