Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, said that celebrations to mark the newspaper’s jubilee will be held at Poytakht Palace.
The mayor seconded proposal of
Vecherny Dushanbe’s
editorial staff to hold the competition “My City – My Newspaper” and awards in 1,500 somonis each have been instituted for the best material about the capital city and the best photograph of Dushanbe.
Besides, the author of the best proposal on improvement of living conditions in Dushanbe will receive 2,000 somonis in prize money, the spokesman said.
