India’s Abhijeet Group seeks cooperation with Tajik companies

DUSHANBE, September 29, 2008, Asia-Plus  — On Monday September 29, Odil Sangov, first deputy head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), met with visiting Senior Manager-Business Development at India’s Abhirjeet Group, Mr. Nitesh Banerjee.  

According to the CCI press service, issues related to bilateral cooperation, including launch of joint ventures, were the focus of their talks.  During the meeting, the Abhijeet Group representative was interested in establishment of cooperation with Tajikistan in the fields of energy, road-building, metallurgy, mining, etc.    

The purpose of the visit is for Mr. Banerjee to seek business partners in Tajikistan to co-finance joint projects and launch joint ventures here, the press service said.    

Today afternoon, the Abhijeet Group representative is also scheduled to hold talks with senior representatives from the ministry of economic development and trade to discuss areas for mutually beneficial cooperation.
