DUSHANBE, October 4, 2008, 2008, Asia-Plus — A concert of the Center for Children with Physical Disabilities is being held at the Bactria Cultural Center in Dushanbe today.
The concert was staged under support of the Association of Parents of Children with Physical Disabilities and the Azeri Embassy in Dushanbe.
Speaking in an interview with Asia-Plus, Ms. Anohito Rahmatulloyeva, educator at the center, said that some 50 children with physical disabilities are participating in the concert, which is aimed at drawing attention of the public and sponsor to problems of children with physical disabilities and their parents.
According to Ms. Rahmatulloyeva, the Association of Parents of Children with Physical Disabilities was established in Dushanbe in 2006 and more than 900 disabled children have been registered with the Association so far.
