DUSHANBE, October 6, 2008, Asia-Plus — By Dushanbe mayor’s resolution a public commission for rational use of energy in autumn-winter season has been set up in Dushanbe.
According to Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor, the commission consists of deputies of the Dushanbe mayor, heads of relevant municipal services, as well as clerics and representatives of political parties, public associations and Tajik intelligentsia.
All economic facilities, mahalla (community) committees in Dushanbe’s districts and ministries and organizations located in the territory of Dushanbe are also recommended to set up similar commissions and ensure efficient work of them.
The mayor also called on the city residents to rationally use electrical power, natural gas and water during the winter months, the spokesman said and pay for consumption of them promptly.
