DUSHANBE, October 9, 2008, Asia-Plus — A book entitled “Philosophy of Theology of Muhammad Ghazali” authored by Doctor of Sciences in Philosophy Abdulvohid Shamolov has been brought out in Dushanbe.
The presentation of the book was held yesterday on sidelines of ongoing international two-day conference formally titled “Inter-civilization Accord and Global Dialogue: the Past and the Present” that has been held at the Center for Strategic Studies in Dushanbe.
The conference, dedicated to the 950th anniversary of birthday of prominent Muslim jurist, thinker and philosopher Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali, has brought together more than 20 researchers and experts from the CIS states, Iran and Afghanistan to discuss issues related to maintenance of inter-civilization dialogue, which is now among the most important tasks of the world community.
Ayatollah Mohammed Ali Taskhiri, Secretary General of the World Assembly for Proximity of Islamic Denominations, gave a paper at the conference yesterday.
The conference was organized under support of the Cultural Attaché, the Iranian Embassy in Dushanbe.
