DUSHANBE, October 13, 2008, Asia-Plus — On Saturday October 11, President Emomali Rahmon visited Khatlon’s Danghara district.
According to presidential press service, during his stay in Danghara, the president attended the republican seminar conducted for farmers and agricultural producers in the farming unit Somonjon.
Addressing the seminar, Rahmon dwelled on the autumn sowing campaign. The president, in particular, noted that Danghara will become one of the largest agrarian and industrial centers of the country in the coming years. The district will increase production of some agricultural crops that will allow exporting them to other countries.
By president’s order areas under potatoes will be extended two-three times this year, the press service said.
