DUSHANBE, October 14, 2008, Asia-Plus — As of October 1, 2008, a loan portfolio of open joint-stock company (OJSC) Orienbonk, which is one of Tajikistan’s largest financial institutions, has amounted to little more than 583 million somoni (equivalent to some US$172 million), according to Orienbonk’s press service.
In the distribution cross section the proportions of enterprises in local currency were: private commercial enterprises – 79.44 percent; agricultural enterprises – 15.94 percent; state-owned enterprises – 0.76 percent; and physical entities – 3.86 percent.
In the distribution cross section the proportions of enterprises in foreign currencies were: private commercial enterprises – 54.27 percent; agricultural enterprises – 20.75 percent; state-owned enterprises – 24.77 percent; and physical entities – 0.21 percent.
We will recall that as of September 1, 2008, Orienbonk’s loan portfolio amounted to 611.082 million somoni (equivalent to more than $178.825 million).
