DUSHANBE, October 21, 2008, Asia-Plus — Female activists of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDPT) have made appeal to Tajik women.

– tribun.tj, in particular, noted that one of the most topical issues is observance of national traditions and rituals.
“We consider that solution of this problem depends, in many respects, on us women-mothers,” said the appeal, “Female activists of the party are making contribution to implementation of president’s initiative on preservation and development of national cultural traditions and rituals and oppose extremist religious movements.”
In their appeal, the PDPT female activists call on women of Tajikistan to be vigilant and not fall into net of extremist religious movements and organizations. “We should protect our children against influence of them because the present and the future of our homeland depend on the spiritually sound generation,” the PDPT female activists said.
