KHUJAND, October 27, 2008, Asia-Plus — Everything is practically ready to launch an enterprise for producing cotton T-shirts in Khujand, the capital of the Sughd province.
According to reliable sources, the owner of this enterprise, closed joint-stock company (CJSC) Knitting, is the US company, Carrera USA, which assumes 100% ownership interest in the enterprise.
All necessary equipment was delivered from Europe and the first test consignment of output has already been sent for study to customer. Knitted cloth is supplied to the enterprise by the Khujand-based limited liability company Textile City.
“At first, some 200 people are expected to work with Knitting and output produced by the factory will be mainly exported to other countries,” the source said.
