The session dedicated to implementation of Uzbekistan law “About preventative measures of iodide deficit diseases” in Karakalpakistan was held.
City and district assistants, workers of agencies and Ministries, and specialists in this sphere participated in the event. Now in 18 factories of Aral region salt with iodide is produced, reported UzA. The number of diseases related to iodide deficit decreased on 30% for last 3 years.
The issue of increasing the amount of produced salt was also discussed on the session.
