New radio station goes on air in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, November 5, 2008, Asia-Plus  — A new radio station, Farhang (Culture), has gone on the air in Tajikistan. 

According to the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting, Farhang went on the air today morning, bringing the number of national radio stations in the country to four.  Farhang broadcasts at a frequency of 106.5 FM. 

The radio station Farhang may be picked up outside the country as well, the source at the Committee for TV and Radio-broadcasting said.  

Four national radio stations now function in Tajikistan: Tojikiston; Sadoi Dushanbe; Ovozi Tojik; and Farhang.
